As a pioneer member of the defunct National Elections Observatory of Cameroon (ONEL), he successfully supervised and controlled the 2002 Twin Municipal & Legislative Elections in Cameroon, the 2004 Presidential Elections in Cameroon and the 2007 Twin Municipal & Legislative Elections in Cameroon. He has also monitored elections in other countries and was part of the African Union Observer Mission that monitored the Second Round Presidential Elections in Zimbabwe which held on June 27, 2008, having been personally invited by the Chairman of the African Union following his track record in this domain.
